As we age or recover from an illness it can become difficult to care for one's self. Our trained caregivers can assist with:

  • Dressing/Bathing /Grooming

  • Lifting and positioning of client

  • Assistance using the bathroom

Meal Planning

Good nutrition is vital to a healthy life. Adhering to any medical instruction our caregivers will: 

  • Monitor eating habits

  • Check food freshness

  • Create meal plans

  • Help with meal preparation

  • Prepare future meals

  • Create shopping lists

 

Housekeeping/Chores 

As we age or recover, daily chores around the house can weigh on us. Our PSSs can assist with:

  • Laundry

  • Iron clothes

  • Wash dishes

  • Light housekeeping

  • Dispose of trash

  • Water house Plants

  • Change and make beds

  • Vacuuming and dusting

  • Clean Kitchen Cupboards

  • Clean Oven & Refrigerator

 

Companionship

Our caregivers provide the social interaction that is important for a person living alone. Some companionship activities include:

  • Engaging the client in stimulating conversation

  • Plan visits and appointments

  • Visit neighbors and friends when possible

  • Read books, magazines and newspapers

  • Assist with hobbies and crafts

  • Receive and send mail

  • Do puzzles or games

 

Errands 

As we age it becomes more difficult to get out and about. Maine Home Care can assist with:

  • Scheduling appointments

  • Deliver and retrieve dry cleaning

  • Pick up prescriptions

  • Grocery shopping

 

Returning From Hospital
Our Management Team will collaborate with other health agencies to provide added services that promote continued improvement after a hospital stay.

Respite Care
In order for family members of the loved one to give quality care they need to take care of themselves too. Our caregivers will step in
